Monday February 13, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Worrying is a symptom of a lack of faith-
2-Celebrate American values, but remember as a christian your citizenship is not in America, it is in heaven-
3-You should live with such high integrity that your word doesn't need attachments to make it legitimate-
4-You will never obey the Lord and regret it, but you will regret every time you don't obey him-
5-Be pro something, not just anti something-

STRANGE THOUGHT
If a home school mom is talking to herself, is she having a parent teacher conference?

I'VE LEARNED
The world that has rejected Jesus will readily receive satan's antichrist-

DID YOU KNOW
The expression "getting someone's goat" is based on the custom of keeping a goat in the stable with a racehorse as the horse's companion.  The goat becomes a settling influence for the thoroughbred-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did Rebekah favor Jacob over Esau?
2-Why did Old Testament men say "God of my Fathers" instead of "My God"?
3-Why is the Bible so full of the sins of it's main characters (most of which are men)?
4-Jesus started his ministry at the age of 30.  Joseph became Pharaoh's governor at the age of 30.  Is there a significant correlation?
5-Why did God create man with a bent toward doing evil?

BIBLE TRIVIA
In what book of the Bible is this quotation found?
 "The watchman answers,
Morning is coming, but then night will come again.
If you have something to ask,
    Then come back and ask.”
Answer for today    Isaiah

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Romans 11:33-36   "Yes, God’s riches are very great, and his wisdom and knowledge have no end! No one can explain the things God decides or understand his ways.
34 As the Scripture says, “Who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been able to give him advice?”  35 “No one has ever given God anything that he must pay back.” 36 Yes, God made all things, and everything continues through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, may I never stop praising you for your goodness and grace-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
