Thursday February 2, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-A fool remains a fool whether or not they are answered-
2-Laziness is dangerous.  The less you do, the less you want to do-
3-"Do not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring"-
4-"Better is open rebuke than hidden love"-
5-A friend who has your best interest at heart may have to give you unpleasant advice at times, but you know it is for your own good-

STRANGE THOUGHT
The trouble with my friend is not that he is ignorant, it's just that he knows so much that isn't so-

I'VE LEARNED-
God's grace is his gift to each of us, more than we deserve, greater than we imagine-

DID YOU KNOW
Baseball's home plate is seventeen inches wide-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What does it mean to "lay up treasures in heaven"?
2-Does reaping what you sow always mean "in kind"?
3-Can/does God bless a begrudging giver?
4-What is God's purpose in Christians having wealth?
5-Should we give to get our needs met or give just because there is a need?

BIBLE TRIVIA
In what book of the Bible is this quotation found?
"Your teeth are white like newly sheared sheep
Just coming from their bath.
Each one has a twin,
And none of them is missing.

Answer for today      Song of Solomon

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Matthew 6:33-34   "Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well. 34 So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, forgive me for allowing fear to diminish my trust in you.  Help me to live for you without distraction or fear-

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE-
