THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If we can avoid anger and hatred, we will avoid murder-
2-More often than not we avoid the extreme sins but regularly commit the
types of sins with which Jesus was most concerned-
3-God's moral and ceremonial laws were given to help people love God with
all their heart and mind-
4-By Jesus' time, the Israelite religious leaders had turned the Mosaic
laws into a confusing mess of rules-
5-Jesus did not speak against the Law itself, but against the abuses and
excesses to which it had been subjected-
STRANGE THOUGHT
Don't be yourself, be someone nicer-
I'VE LEARNED
God will bless us materially if we will use those blessings to "do justly,
love mercy and walk humbly with our God and to love our neighbor as we love
ourselves-

them?
2-Why did God ask for so many sacrifice offerings?
3-Were the sacrificial offerings required of individuals, families or the
nation?
4-How can we be content with where God has placed us without wanting
more?
5-What does it mean to be "poor in spirit"?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Hebrews 12:1-2 We are surrounded by a great
cloud of people whose lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race
that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything
that would get in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back. 2 Let us look
only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered
death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of
the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of
God’s throne.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, help me to run the race with endurance with my eyes fixed on
Jesus. Help me resist the temptations of the world so that I may run a strong
race-
