THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-"Blessed" means more than happiness-
2-The beatitudes don't promise laughter, pleasure or prosperity-
3-To Jesus, "blessed" means the experience of hope and joy, independent of
outward circumstances-
4-In the "Kingdom of Heaven", wealth, power and authority are
unimportant-
5-Jesus said to rejoice when we are persecuted. We can be comforted to
remember that God's greatest prophets were persecuted-
STRANGE THOUGHT
We will never run out of math teachers as long as they multiply-
I'VE LEARNED
The Bible doesn't say that "money is the root of all evil", rather "the
love of money is the root of all evil"-
DID YOU KNOW
Before 1850, golf balls were made of leather and stuffed with
feathers-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does God demand repentance for atonement?
2-If "thou shall not kill" is valid, why did God demand the Israelites kill
their enemy?
3-Does God punish the sins of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th generations?
4-If God is a spirit, how can an aroma of an offering be pleasing to
him?
5-Is God masculine?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Philippians 2:5-8 Christ
himself was like God in everything.
But he did not think that being equal with God was something to be used for his own benefit.
7 But he gave up his place with God and made himself nothing.
He was born as a man
And became like a servant.
8 And when he was living as a man,
He humbled himself and was fully obedient to God,
Even when that caused his death—death on a cross.
