Monday February 27, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-Live with such integrity that your word alone is enough and doesn't require an oath of "I promise"-
2-Our desire should not be to keep score, but to love and forgive-
3-Forgiveness is not natural, it is supernatural (it is a God thing)-
4-The christian should not plan on retaliation but rather pray for those who did the hurting-
5-According to Jesus, it is more important to give justice and mercy than to receive it-

STRANGE THOUGHT
History would be an excellent thing if only it were true-

I'VE LEARNED-
Forget what hurt you in the past, but never forget what it taught you-

DID YOU KNOW
The only person ever to play golf of the moon was Alan Shepard.  His golf ball was never found-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did God in the Old Testament speak in an audible voice?
2-Could the Old Testament accounts of killing enemies by Israel be accurate?
3-What is the difference in killing and murder?
4-Why is the Old Testament so filled with accounts of mass killings?
5-In Biblical days why were lots cast to determine God's will?

BIBLE TRIVIA
What Old Testament book contains the prophecy of this event-"giving vinegar to the crucified Jesus"?
Answer for today   Psalm

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Hebrews 1:8-9   "But God said this about his Son:
God, your throne will last forever and ever.
You will rule your kingdom with fairness.
You love right and hate evil,
    So God has chosen you from among your friends;
He has set you apart with much joy.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father, thank you that I can have confidence in all your promises-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG,
ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
