Monday July 3, 2017 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-When Christians start backsliding they start back biting-
2-To forgive you only have to do it once.  To resent you have to do it all day, every day, all the time-
3-The top of the world is not a mountain.  It is a place inside of you from where you can decide to sit and watch or put on your shoes and dance-
4-They didn't despise Jesus because he helped the poor but they despised him because he joined the poor-
5-A person who feels appreciated will always do more than is expected-

STRANGE THOUGHT

DID YOU KNOW
The most powerful earthquake to strike the United States occurred in 1811 in New Madrid, Missouri.  The quake shook more than one million square miles and was felt as far as one thousand miles away-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was hell ready for Satan before he was removed from heaven?
2-Do all angels have free wills just as Satan did before he rebelled?
3-Did Satan have a free will to worship God or did he have a rebellious spirit from the beginning?
4-Was there slavery in Bible times as we know it was in our culture?
5-Was slavery an evil thing in Jesus time?

BIBLE TRIVIA

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Romans 1:5-6      Through Christ, God gave me the special work of an apostle, which was to lead people of all nations to believe and obey. I do this work for him. And you who are in Rome are also called to belong to Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank you for your grace that sustains me in the difficult times-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
