Thursday November 18, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-A marvelous past does not guarantee a splendid future-
2-What we fail to repent of, we are destined to repeat-
3-Real faith is riding out the storm with Jesus in your boat-
4-My life is not about me, it is about Jesus living in me-
5-I've got as much on my plate as I can say grace over-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The word cooperation is spelled we-
I'VE LEARNED-Don't serve God out of guilt, fear or duty but out of joy and deep gratitude for what he has done for you-
DID YOU KNOW-Influenza got its name from the fact that people believed the disease was because of the evil "influence" of stars-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-Who was the first disciple to die and how?
2-Did the disciple Thomas go to India as is claimed?
3-Paul had been instrumental in healing many, so why didn't he heal Timothy who had stomach problems?
4-Why could Paul heal others and yet not himself?
5-Why didn't Paul say what his thorn in the flesh was?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Assyrian king was killed by his sons while worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch?
Yesterday's answer-Horam
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 16:14-18
God's Law Cannot Be Changed
14 The Pharisees, who loved money, were listening to all these things and made fun of Jesus. 15 He said to them, "You make yourselves look good in front of people, but God knows what is really in your hearts. What is important to people is hateful in God's sight.

16 "The law of Moses and the writings of the prophets were preached until John came. Since then the Good News about the kingdom of God is being told, and everyone tries to enter it by force. 17 It would be easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest part of a letter in the law to be changed.

Divorce and Remarriage
18 "If a man divorces his wife and marries another woman, he is guilty of adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman is also guilty of adultery."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
