Tuesday November 2, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If your ship never comes in, if your dream never comes true, if your situation never changes-you can still be content-
2-Your life is never defined by what you have even if you have a lot-
3-What we have in God is greater than what we don't have in life-
4-If the Lord is my shepherd, I am his sheep-
5-Counselors can comfort you in your storm but only God can still your storm-
STRANGE THOUGHT-An idea is a funny thing, it won't work unless you do-
I'VE LEARNED-You don't reap what you sow, you reap the fruit of what you sow-
DID YOU KNOW-The word curfew originates from an old French word that means "cover fire"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was the Star of Bethlehem a part of a miraculous event separate from natural phenomena?
2-What route did the wise men take to get to Bethlehem?
3-Would the wise men have stayed in places along the way to find rest, feed the animals, get supplies, etc.-
4-Did the wise men go across the desert or go around it?
5-Why did people put cut palm branches on the road ahead of Jesus riding into Jerusalem?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What cruel king of Israel assassinated King Shallum?
Yesterday's answer-Zechariah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 14:7-11
Don't Make Yourself Important
7 When Jesus noticed that some of the guests were choosing the best places to sit, he told this story: 8 "When someone invites you to a wedding feast, don't take the most important seat, because someone more important than you may have been invited.9 The host, who invited both of you, will come to you and say, 'Give this person your seat.' Then you will be embarrassed and will have to move to the last place.10 So when you are invited, go sit in a seat that is not important. When the host comes to you, he may say, 'Friend, move up here to a more important place.' Then all the other guests will respect you. 11 All who make themselves great will be made humble, but those who make themselves humble will be made great."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
