Monday December 9, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If you are driven by self importance, nothing is sacred-
2-The God who blesses is also the God who can break-
3-God is more concerned with our Holiness than with our happiness-
4-No life is insignificant when God chooses to use it to teach his truth to others-
5-Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Money is a morally neutral issue-

I'VE LEARNED-We behave the way we think-

DID YOU KNOW-Sea otters inhabit water but never get wet because they have two coats of fur-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are there things which Christians cannot do because it might offend someone?
2-When do things become an idol or god?
3-Why do Christians think they have to eat to have fellowship?
4-How does a Christian become a stumbling block to someone?
5-Is a Christian with a legalistic approach to Christian living a weak or a strong Christian?

BIBLE TRIVIA-To what church did Paul send Epaphroditus as a minister?
Answer for today  Philippi   Philippians 2:25

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY  Acts 27:33-38
33 Just before dawn Paul began persuading all the people to eat something. He said, “For the past fourteen days you have been waiting and watching and not eating. 34 Now I beg you to eat something. You need it to stay alive. None of you will lose even one hair off your heads.” 35 After he said this, Paul took some bread and thanked God for it before all of them. He broke off a piece and began eating. 36 They all felt better and started eating, too. 37 There were two hundred seventy-six people on the ship. 38 When they had eaten all they wanted, they began making the ship lighter by throwing the grain into the sea.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, while the world obsesses over outward appearances such as good looks, muscular bodies or perfect figures Your Word is impassioned with teaching regarding the inner heart; the very character of who we are when no one but You are looking. Help us to be more concerned what You see on the inside than what others view from the outside. Peace, joy and love come from within the soul and no outward adornment, fashion accessory or muscular frame can produce or duplicate those fruit of the Spirit. Help us to be slow to judge and quick to pray for those who are different from us and help us to see them and love them as Jesus does. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD
