HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-You shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret for it could change your
life forever-
2-Jesus proves no one is beyond the reach of God's love and
forgiveness-
3-In Jesus, God shared his love with the whole world-
4-Your heart was made to contain God, but when you fill it with worry,
stress, and guilt, you have no room for God-
5-The most difficult phase of life is not when no one understands you, but
when you don't understand yourself-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why is the third hand on a watch called the second
hand?
I'VE LEARNED-Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the
teeth--give your best anyway-
DID YOU KNOW-There are more than 450 species of finches throughout the
world-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Jesus, Paul or the disciples didn't teach tithing as a Christian
practice, so why do we teach it that way today?
2-Why do Christians often keep the good news to themselves?
3-Did Joseph and Mary ever have a wedding?
4-Why is there no record of God being active in the world during the 400
years between the old and new testament?
5-Did Joseph and Mary ever pay their taxes and be counted in the
census?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What apostle was probably crucified in Rome, head
downward?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Acts 13:33-35
33 God has made this promise come true for us, his
children, by raising Jesus from the dead. We read about this also in Psalm
2:
34 God raised Jesus from the
dead, and he will never go back to the grave and become dust. So God
said:
35 But in another place God
says:
‘You will not let your Holy One
rot.’ Psalm 16:10
PRAYER FOR
TODAY
Father, we know that none of us are 100% humble, for
we are clothed in these mortal, fallible bodies. But we do know that Jesus is
the model of One completely humble in His humanity and divinity. He did not
consider equality with You, our Father, something to be grasped but took on His
personhood as a man and became obedient to death on the cross. We look to Him as
the supreme example of humility and obedience. As we clothe ourselves in Your
righteousness we can overcome the pride that is ever before us. We recognize
that no good thing can come from us, but all that is good comes from You. Remind
us daily that the attitude of gratitude is the antidote for feelings of pride.
When we acknowledge that everything we have and all that we are is due to Your
merciful blessings we are humbled and grateful to You, the Giver of every good
and perfect gift. Amen.
