HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Friendship is like a book, it takes a few seconds to burn but takes years
to write-
2-When you pray for others, God hears and blesses them. Sometimes, when
you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you-
3-When you place yourself in the position of controlling the
uncontrollable, you place an unrealistic burden on yourself-
4-When things are going good or going bad remember-this too shall
pass-
5-Old friends are like gold. New friends are like diamonds. If you get a
diamond, don't forget the gold. To hold a diamond, you need a base of
gold-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why does "slow down" and "slow up" mean the same
thing?
I'VE LEARNED-Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional-
DID YOU KNOW-The queen (or more precisely the Royal Household) owns all
swans in England-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-In the New Testament, are there any delayed baptisms after people
believed in Jesus?
2-Why is it when you take a step of faith something often seems to go
wrong?
3-Does Jesus' heavenly body have his crucifixion scars?
4-1 Corinthians chapter 15 says the resurrected Jesus appeared to more than
500 people. Why is there not more information like-how, when, where, who?
5-Does 1 Corinthians chapter 15 say or imply that you can be baptized for a
dead person?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who, according to tradition, preached in Assyria and Persia
and died a martyr in Persia?
Yesterday's answer-John
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Acts 13:48-52
48 When those who were not Jewish heard Paul say this, they
were happy and gave honor to the message of the Lord. And the people who were
chosen to have life forever believed the message.
49 So
the message of the Lord was spreading through the whole country. 50 But the
Jewish people stirred up some of the important religious women and the leaders
of the city. They started trouble against Paul and Barnabas and forced them out
of their area. 51 So Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet[a]
and went to Iconium. 52 But the followers were filled with joy and the Holy
Spirit.
