HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Patience always goes hand in hand with understanding-
2-Before anything else, love is patient-
3-Kind people are quietly kind-
4-Mercy is the deepest gesture of kindness-
5-God thinks you are worthy of his love and God is a good judge of
character-
STRANGE THOUGHT-small crowd-
I'VE LEARNED-We think of idols as statues of wood, metal, plastic or
stone. But in reality it is anything natural that is given sacred value and
power-
DID YOU KNOW-Pomology is the study of fruit-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-At Pentecost, the people who were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke
in different tongues, did they have this gift the rest of their life?
2-In today's churches, is the gift of "speaking in tongues" generally a
speaking of an unintelligible ecstatic speaking or the speaking in an unlearned
foreign language?
3-What does scripture mean saying "Uncircumcised in heart and ears"?
4-Why was Steven stoned to death?
5-Who changed Saul's name to Paul? Is it the same name only in a different
language?
BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament
book-"And in his name shall the gentiles trust" Matthew 12:21
Answer for today Isaiah 42:4
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 13:25-28
25 When the
owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you can stand outside and knock
on the door and say, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ But he will answer, ‘I don’t
know you or where you come from.’ 26 Then you
will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in the streets of our
town.’ 27 But he will say to you, ‘I don’t know you
or where you come from. Go away from me, all you who do evil!’
28 You will cry and
grind your teeth with pain when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the
prophets in God’s kingdom, but you yourselves thrown outside.
