HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The secret to loving is living loved-
2-If broken promises were lumber we could build a mansion with it-
3-Patience is the premier expression of love-
4-Patience isn't being naive, it isn't ignoring misbehavior, it simply is
being slow to boil over-
5-Patience is more than a virtue for long lines and slow waiters, it is the
red carpet upon which God's grace approaches us-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Sanitary landfill-
I'VE LEARNED-God never stops at pointing the way. He is always with us as
we go-
DID YOU KNOW-The color of a chili is no indication of its spiciness, but
size usually is for the smaller the pepper, the hotter it is-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How did Jesus feel about Judas? Did he forgive him?
2-Who tried, convicted and ultimately executed Jesus?
3-Is putting the blame on the Jewish people for Jesus' execution the awful
seeds of Christian anti semitism?
4-Why don't the Gospels agree about the interrogation following Jesus'
arrest at Gethsemane and what took place?
5-What was the final charge against Jesus on which Pilate finally sentenced
Jesus to death?
BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament
book?-"he shall not strive, nor cry: neither shall any man hear his voice in the
streets"
Matthew 12:19
Answer for today Isaiah 42:2
SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY Luke 13:18-21
18 Then Jesus
said, “What is God’s kingdom like? What can
I compare it with? 19 It is like a mustard seed that a man plants in his
garden. The seed grows and becomes a tree, and the wild birds build nests in its
branches.”
20 Jesus said again, “What can I compare God’s kingdom with? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour until it made all the dough rise.”
20 Jesus said again, “What can I compare God’s kingdom with? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour until it made all the dough rise.”
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Father, we don’t want to merely listen to Your Word and so deceive ourselves
thinking that we have fulfilled the law of Christ. Instead we want to listen and
apply Your truths, thereby obeying Your commands and honoring You in all we
think, say and do. Take Your truth, plant it deep in us; shape and fashion us in
Your likeness so that the light of Christ will be seen in us through our acts of
love, our deeds of faith, and our words of truth. Fulfill in us Your purposes
for Your own glory and honor we pray. Amen.
