Friday October 12, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Even if you have been since your youth a bigot or racist, you don't have to die one-
2-When the disciples shouted for fear in the storm, Jesus slept through it-
3-Refuse to be guided by vengeance-
4-If you have given yourself to God, he has given himself to you-
5-Christians are to shift their glance away from the one who hurt us and set our eyes on the one who saved us-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it is more comfortable to cry in a Cadillac than in a yugo-

I'VE LEARNED
A few kind words can help you a lot more than you think-

DID YOU KNOW
The average four year old child asks more than four hundred questions a day-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Where was Lazarus soul during his four days of death?
2-Did Lazarus receive a new body or the old one revived?
3-When Jesus healed the ten lepers, why did only one (a Samaritan) come back to thank him?
4-In the story of the ten lepers Jesus healed, one was a Samaritan, but who were the other nine?
5-Why was Jesus so critical of the Pharisees?

BIBLE TRIVIA
Who sent her servant on a donkey to inform Elisha that her son had died?
Answer for today           The Shunemite woman       2 Kings 4: 18-32

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Galatians 3: 26-29      You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all clothed with Christ. This means that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 28 In Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek, slave and free person, male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus. 29 You belong to Christ, so you are Abraham’s descendants. You will inherit all of God’s blessings because of the promise God made to Abraham.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank you for making me one of your children,  My desire is to live for you today-

I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU STRENGTH IN YOUR STRUGGLE, PEACE IN YOUR PAIN, AND VICTORY IN YOUR VALLEY-
