Tuesday October 16, 2018 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The words "I love you" and knowing that there is always someone who is there for you, no matter what, is the greatest gift anyone can ever have-
2-The manner of giving is worth more than the gift-
3-Kindness is always in our power, even when fondness is not-
4-The world's idea of greatness is to rule, but christian greatness consists in serving-
5-The most wasted day of all is the one during which we did not show kindness-
STRANGE THOUGHT
Life isn't tied with a bow but it is still a gift-
I'VE LEARNED
When you are hugging a child, be the last one to let go-
DID YOU KNOW
The average person spends about two years on the phone in a lifetime-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-The word  "perfect" is used by Jesus to the rich young ruler.  What did it mean?
2-Should Christians sell what they have and give it to the poor as the rich young ruler was instructed to do?
3-Why did the rich young ruler need to sell all he owned and give it to the poor?
4-How badly did the rich young ruler want eternal life?
5-How much of our wealth should we use for ourselves?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
JOEL 2:12-14      But there’s also this, it’s not too late—God’s personal Message!—
“Come back to me and really mean it! Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!”
13-14 Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God.
And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot,
This most patient God, extravagant in love, Always ready to cancel catastrophe.
Who knows? Maybe he will do it now, Maybe he will turn around and show pity.
Maybe, when all’s said and done, there will be blessings full and robust for your God!       Message
PRAYER FOR TODAY
