Thursday November 20, 2008 thought for the day

BEAUTIFUL FALL SCENE
Here are my thoughts for today
1-It is okay to use friendships as a drawing account, but don't forget to make your deposits-
2-It is nice to be important but even more important to be nice-
3-What you are is more important than what you've got-
4-The full use of today is the best preparation for tomorrow-
5-Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm-

Strange thought-bad public officials are elected by good citizens who don't vote-

I've learned-habit if not resisted soon becomes necessity-

5 things I want to know
1-Was the crucifixion really on Friday--could it have been on Wednesday and the resurrection on Saturday (the Jewish Sabbath)?
2-Jesus said he would spend 3 days and nights in the earth--did he?
3-Why do we celebrate the crucifixion on Friday and the resurrection on Sunday?
4-Was our Sunday the first day of the Jewish week?
5-Why were women the first to see the empty tomb?

Scripture for today-If you are angry, be sure that it is not out of wounded pride or bad temper. Never go to bed angry – don’t give the devil that sort of foothold. Ephesians 4:26-27 (PH)

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
