Tuesday June 5, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The more we hurt, the better we determine what really matters and during the process we replace knowledge with wisdom-
2-Suffering helps clear away the fog that success and prosperity create-
3-Your view of God determines how you view life-
4-Do not weary yourself gaining wealth-
5-Be discerning about what you watch and read for if the source is not reliable, the information will be skewed-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once-

I'VE LEARNED-When you are flat on your back the only way to look is up-

DID YOU KNOW-Since the 1930s, the town of Corona, California, has lost all seventeen to the time capsules they originally buried-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is God searching for us or waiting for us to come to him?
2-Is there such a thing as total freedom?
3-Are there any choices without consequences?
4-Were the 10 commandments a control thing with God or a way for society to live together in harmony?
5-Is "God" a personal name or a descriptive name?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Israel was imprisoned for defying Assyrian authority?
Yesterday's answer-Samson  Judges 16:24

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Matthew 15:32-39
More than Four Thousand Fed
32 Jesus called his followers to him and said, "I feel sorry for these people, because they have already been with me three days, and they have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away hungry. They might faint while going home."
33 His followers asked him, "How can we get enough bread to feed all these people? We are far away from any town."
34 Jesus asked, "How many loaves of bread do you have?"
They answered, "Seven, and a few small fish."
35 Jesus told the people to sit on the ground.36 He took the seven loaves of bread and the fish and gave thanks to God. Then he divided the food and gave it to his followers, and they gave it to the people.37 All the people ate and were satisfied. Then his followers filled seven baskets with the leftover pieces of food.38 There were about four thousand men there who ate, besides women and children.39 After sending the people home, Jesus got into the boat and went to the area of Magadan.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we do not want to be overcome by evil but we want to overcome evil with good and the way that we can do this is to absorb, maintain, and uphold the Scriptural understanding of good and evil. We pray against authorities, personalities, and persuasive rhetoric that tempt us to compromise or water down the truths we learn from Scripture. The contrasts of light vs. Darkness, good vs. Evil, the spiritual nature vs. The sinful nature are abundant in Scripture. May the guiding light by which we live our lives in these evil days be the light of Your Holy Word. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
