Monday October 5, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-The ultimate sin-rejection of God, the ultimate punishment-everlasting separation from God-
2-The longer people live separated from God, the less likely they are able to exercise their free choice and place their trust in him-
3-We should never decide what is true based on what we like or don't like-
4-Hell is not a place of people who just didn't believe the right way but those who defy their creator and want their own way-
5-Confession should be one of the hallmarks of a Christian-admit fault, seek forgiveness and endeavor to change our way-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Friendly fire-

I'VE LEARNED-Better to be poor than a liar-

DID YOU KNOW-Fanta Orange is the third largest selling soft drink in the world-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why does most information about Jesus come from second or third hand sources?
2-Was Jesus primarily a preacher or teacher?
3-When was Jesus first called the "Christ"?
4-Is the word "Christ" a name for Jesus or a title bestowed on him?  Which is the correct way to address Jesus-"Jesus Christ" or "Jesus the Christ"?
5-Why are there some remarkable differences in the four gospels about the life of Jesus?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What book, a long book of prophecy in the Old Testament  gets quoted the sixth most times in the New Testament with 141 references?
Answer for today     Ezekiel

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 11:14-20
14 One time Jesus was sending out a demon who could not talk. When the demon came out, the man who had been unable to speak, then spoke. The people were amazed. 15 But some of them said, “Jesus uses the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons, to force demons out of people.”
16 Other people, wanting to test Jesus, asked him to give them a sign from heaven. 17 But knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom that is divided against itself will be destroyed. And a family that is divided against itself will not continue. 18 So if Satan is divided against himself, his kingdom will not continue. You say that I use the power of Beelzebul to force out demons. 19 But if I use the power of Beelzebul to force out demons, what power do your people use to force demons out? So they will be your judges. 20 But if I use the power of God to force out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we know that it’s not the one who runs the swiftest, nor the one who runs for just a day, but the one who endures to the end that will be saved. Help us to remain steady, and consistent, being joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. We grow anxious and fearful regarding our loved ones who are not following in the ways of the Lord. We pray that they will submit their will to Yours, Lord, for it is the only certain hope for today and absolute hope for all eternity. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
