Sunday February 3, 2020 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-It doesn’t do any harm to smile and say “good morning” even if it is raining-
2-If you must speak ill of another, do not speak it,  write it in the sand near the waters edge-
3-Perseverance is a virtue, but sticking to your guns when you are out of bullets is bullheaded-
4-Happiness isn’t found searching for it.  It comes quietly while you are helping others-
5-Don’t advertise your troubles for there is no market for them-

STRANGE THOUGHT
If everything is coming your way, maybe you are in the wrong lane-

I’VE LEARNED

DID YOU KNOW
Wartime president Franklin D Roosevelt was the first to have a presidential aircraft-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why did polygamy exists among God’s people in the old testament?
2-Because we live in a world where evil abounds and where sin and terror always threatens us, is God really in control?
3-The priest Eli had two sons who were evil, but he did little to correct them. Why did he not punish them?
4-How old was Samuel when God first audibly spoke to him?
5-Is failing to pray for others a sin?

BIBLE TRIVIA
What Bible book mentions a woman using such perfumes as spikenard, saffron, calamus, cinnamon, frankincense, myrrh, aloes, and many others-
Answer for today      The Song of Solomon

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY

But I will sing about your strength. In the morning I will sing about your love. You are my defender, my place of safety in times of trouble.         Psalm 59:16 NCV

PRAYER

Father, help us to be so immersed in your word that any false teaching is glaringly obvious-

MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET, ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
