Friday January 11, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Only when we move from the safety of theory to the risky world of reality can we actually make a difference.
2-No one is born prejudiced, courageous or with a sensitive conscience.
3-Things are often not what they seem.
4-When all seems lost, it isn’t.
5-When it seems things can get no worse, they often can.

STRANGE THOUGHT
The gleam in your eye is from the sun hitting your bifocals

I’VE LEARNED
If your mother says “you will regret it” you probably will.

DID YOU KNOW
Queen Victoria was the first woman to use chloroform during childbirth.

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What would you do if you weren’t afraid or making a mistake, feeling rejected, looking foolish or being alone?
2-Does true love ever hurt?
3-If your life ended tomorrow, what would you regret?
4-Who could you be if you did the things you always wanted to do?
5-Do we ascribe too much or too little to what God wants?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to Matthew’s Gospel, an earthquake occurred when Jesus died on the cross.  What other spectacular event occurred at the time in the temple?
Answer for today          Th temple veil (curtain) was torn in half from top to bottom     Matthew 27:51

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY
Matthew 5:1-2     When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Father thank you for teaching us what true happiness really means.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE, AND FRIENDS THAT CARE
