Thursday January 10, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Those things that hurt instruct.
2-When righteousness rules, justice reins.
3-There will always be someone who resents your love of God.
4-Helplessness erodes into hopelessness.
5-Not until we believe one person can make a difference will we be willing to take risks.

STRANGE THOUGHT
Everything hurts and what doesn’t, doesn’t work.

I’VE LEARNED
Seek respect rather than popularity, quality rather than luxury.

DID YOU KNOW
All babies of the royal family are baptized with water brought from the River Jordon.

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should we forgive when one who offends us knows we will forgive them?
2-Should we be concerned how we look to other people?
3-Does everything happen for a reason?
4-If our ancestors survived with so little, why can’t we, who have so much?
5-Do you have to love yourself first in order to love another person?

BIBLE TRIVIA
An earthquake during King Uzziah’s reign was so remarkable that one of the Hebrew prophets dates his book “two years before the earthquake.”  Which prophet?
Answer for today           Amos        1:1

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Matthew 4:19-20    Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work. Jesus said to them, “Come with me. I’ll make a new kind of fisherman out of you. I’ll show you how to catch men and women instead of perch and bass.” They didn’t ask questions, but simply dropped their nets and followed.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, speak to me so I can clearly hear and understand you.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE, AND FRIENDS THAT CARE-
