Monday January 28, 2019 thought for the day

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
1-We don’t have to explain the will of God, only obey it-
2-Nothing in this life or the next life is more serious and sobering than the wrath of God-
3-Scriptures are all about people-
4-A predicament is when an attorney who specializes in medical malpractice suits finds
himself in need of major surgery-
5-God helps the helpless not those who help themselves-

STRANGE THOUGHT
Middle age is when the fortune teller offers to read your face-

I’VE LEARNED
It takes a long time to become the person you want to be-

DID YOU KNOW
A great horned owl can turn its head 270 degrees-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Could there have been salvation with the crucifixion only and no resurrection-
2-Is Israel still God’s chosen people even though they don’t recognize Jesus as the Messiah?
3-Will the Jews ever again lose their home land?
4-Does “whatsoever a man soweth will he also reap” also apply to nations?
5-Is man’s wickedness more evil today than in the days of Noah?

BIBLE TRIVIA
According to Jesus, what sort of man sees his house fall when the winds beat against it?
Answer for today         the foolish man who builds on the sand     Matthew 7:26-27     But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

PRAYER

Father, give me patience especially in the face of insults, harshness, and unseemly behavior-

-MAY YOU HAVE ENOUGH HAPPINESS TO MAKE YOU SWEET,
ENOUGH TRIALS TO MAKE YOU STRONG, ENOUGH SORROW TO KEEP YOU HUMAN AND ENOUGH HOPE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY-
