Tuesday December 23, 2008 thought for the day

THE FIRST CHRISTMAS
Here are my thoughts for today
1-You may forget the kind words you say today but the hearer may cherish them for a lifetime-
2-Give yourself a good compliment even if no one else does-
3-It is what you learn after you know it all that counts-
4-What we obtain too cheaply we esteem too lightly-
5-Truth stands the test of time-

Strange thought-an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last-

I've learned-give more, expect less-

5 things I want to know
1-How was it that the people who called Jesus "King of Kings" on palm Sunday entering Jerusalem called for his death the following Friday?
2-Why didn't John leave after Jesus was buried like all the rest did?
3-Who died first-Jesus or the two thieves?
4-Was there any significance to the two thieves being crucified alongside of Jesus?
5-How could the woman who washed Jesus's feet have been forgiven when she never asked for forgiveness, repented of or confessed her sinful life?

Scripture for today-When Herod saw that the wise men had tricked him, he was furious. So he gave an order to kill all the baby boys in Bethlehem and in the surrounding area who were two years old or younger. This was in keeping with the time he learned from the wise men. Matthew 2:16-17

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
