Wednesday October 20, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-What you make happen to others, God will make happen to you-
2-Reasoning should never override divine intervention-
3-Even when you yourself cannot pray, the prayers of others can intercede for you-
4-Christians know far more information than they will ever obey-
5-Jesus was God in human skin-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Relationships of all kinds are like sand held in your hand-
I'VE LEARNED-When looking for God's presence, begin with the details, not the big picture-
DID YOU KNOW-In 1943, Navy officer Grace Hopper found a glitch in her computer. After investigating, she discovered the system had a bug--a real one. It turned out a moth had made its way into Hopper's computer. Though the word bug has meant fault or defect since as far back as the 1870s, Hopper's story is credited with making it the synonym of choice in the computer industry-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are we to tithe on what we don't have or only on the increase that God gives us?
2-Did Jesus pay tithes to the temple or the priests?
3-Did Jesus ever talk or preach to his followers about giving a tithe?
4-Was Old Testament tithing about giving money or giving from the things that grow in the ground?
5-Was tithing a part of the Law of Moses?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Israel had a reputation as a fast and furious chariot driver?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 12:35-40
Always Be Ready
35 "Be dressed, ready for service, and have your lamps shining. 36 Be like servants who are waiting for their master to come home from a wedding party. When he comes and knocks, the servants immediately open the door for him.37 They will be blessed when their master comes home, because he sees that they were watching for him. I tell you the truth, the master will dress himself to serve and tell the servants to sit at the table, and he will serve them. 38 Those servants will be blessed when he comes in and finds them still waiting, even if it is midnight or later.

39 "Remember this: If the owner of the house knew what time a thief was coming, he would not allow the thief to enter his house. 40 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at a time when you don't expect him!"

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
