November 16, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God is known for taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary-
2-Talent and ability are not prerequisites to being used by God-
3-Success in the kingdom of God and in any local church depends on faithful people of whom the general public is unaware-
4-A person isn't significant because of fame, stature or publicity makes them so.  Each is significant because God has said so-
5-How much Impact we have, whether positive or negative depends pretty much on the choices we make-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why is there an expiration date on sour cream?

I'VE LEARNED-Nothing disappoints worse than false hope-

DID YOU KNOW-No pearls of value are ever found in North American oysters-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Will the inhabitants of the new earth have the sun for daylight or will the glory of God over shine the sun?
2-Will the new earth have daylight and nighttime, sunrises and sunsets?
3-How will our heavenly bodies eyes be able to tolerate the bright light of the New Jerusalem?
4-Where does the "river of the water of life" flow to?
5-Will the new earth have any large bodies of water, fresh or salt water?

BIBLE TRIVIA-What church had a false prophetess named Jezebel as a member?
Answer for today-Thyatira    Revelation 2:18-29

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY   Acts 23:31-35
31 So the soldiers did what they were told and took Paul and brought him to the city of Antipatris that night. 32 The next day the horsemen went with Paul to Caesarea, but the other soldiers went back to the army building in Jerusalem. 33 When the horsemen came to Caesarea and gave the letter to the governor, they turned Paul over to him. 34 The governor read the letter and asked Paul, “What area are you from?” When he learned that Paul was from Cilicia, 35 he said, “I will hear your case when those who are against you come here, too.” Then the governor gave orders for Paul to be kept under guard in Herod’s palace.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, as we become one with Christ we become a new creation. The old order of things has passed away and all things become new because You are sanctifying our hearts and thus aligning our outlook to be a reflection of Yours. And furthermore we are issued the command to deny our own willful desires, take up our cross every day, and follow You wholeheartedly. May we be careful to make a checklist daily to see that we live in accordance to Your commands, that we might reach others for Christ and find reward in our daily obedience to You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BLESSING. BE A FRIEND. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE. TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND.
