Sunday November 24, 2013 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Esau despised something significant (birthright) for the fleeting satisfaction of his physical needs (hunger)-
2-Never underestimate the impact of your character on your children-
3-Everyone is born into a set of circumstances that they never can change-
4-Beware of making decisions out of desperation-
5-Listen closely to wise counsel-people who love you enough to tell you what you don't want to hear-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Why don't you ever see the headline "psychic wins lottery"?

I'VE LEARNED-Ability is what you are capable of doing, motivation determines what you do, attitude determines how you do it-

DID YOU KNOW-Sharks and rays are the only animals know to man that cannot succumb to cancer.  Scientists believe this is related to the fact that they have no bone, only cartilage-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Will our new heavenly bodies have any kind limits?
2-Will the mind of our heavenly bodies know everything there is to know?
3-Will we learn in heaven?
4-Will some people in heaven have greater knowledge and specialized abilities than others?
5-What books will be in heaven?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who helped Paul establish the church in Corinth?
Answer for today  Priscilla and Aquila   Acts 18:2

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY    Acts 25:9-12
But Festus wanted to please the people. So he asked Paul, “Do you want to go to Jerusalem for me to judge you there on these charges?”
10 Paul said, “I am standing at Caesar’s judgment seat now, where I should be judged. I have done nothing wrong to them; you know this is true. 11 If I have done something wrong and the law says I must die, I do not ask to be saved from death. But if these charges are not true, then no one can give me to them. I want Caesar to hear my case!”
12 Festus talked about this with his advisers. Then he said, “You have asked to see Caesar, so you will go to Caesar!”

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, since we have been raised to new life with Christ Jesus, we set our sights on the joyous realities of our future home up in heaven. Focusing our attention and affection there cushions the painful realities we experience or see in other lives down here.  We do not lose heart or allow sin to have dominion over us if we fix our eyes on Jesus, His promises, and our future home in heaven. We do not divert our attention to the world but devote our heart to You, dear Father, so that all will be well with our soul, even when trouble surrounds us. Many need that same hope today, so we must go to this world that is dying and tell of Your salvation to all who will hear this glorious message. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
