Tuesday June 23, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-"Righteous people" are those who love God and are seeking to follow him-
2-A lot of poor advice is worth less than a little good advice-
3-Wealth is a blessing only if we use it in the way God intended-
4-Every person you meet today is either a demolition site or a construction opportunity-
5-A generous person will prosper-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If you don't quit, you will never give up-

I'VE LEARNED-Faith alone makes one right in God's eyes-

DID YOU KNOW-Of all the words in the English language, the word set has the most definitions-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why is the voice of condemnation louder than the herald of grace?
2-Is is possible to live a life without regrets, no shame and no feeling of failure?
3-What does the Bible mean when it says "God is greater than our hearts"?
4-The Bible talks about "dying to sin".  What does that mean?
5-How are we "enslaved to sin"?

BIBLE TRIVIA-Who said "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord?"
Answer    Peter    Luke 5:8

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 5:21-26
21 The Jewish teachers of the law and the Pharisees thought to themselves, “Who is this man who is speaking as if he were God? Only God can forgive sins.”
22 But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said, “Why are you thinking these things? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’? 24 But I will prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, stand up, take your mat, and go home.”
25 At once the man stood up before them, picked up his mat, and went home, praising God. 26 All the people were fully amazed and began to praise God. They were filled with much respect and said, “Today we have seen amazing things!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we read in Romans 1 that Your wrath is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness, that although they know Your righteous decree they do such things deserving of death, and they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. We are understanding this passage more clearly as we see deviancy celebrated and people who boast of their deviant lifestyles as champions of the “courageous” frontier where darkened hearts are hailed as those who have arrived to enlighten those who have drawn their standards from the Holy Bible. We’re also witnessing many who have exchanged Your truths as presented in Scripture for the lies presented by mortal and sinful humanity.  We do battle daily with the lawless one so we must suit up in the Christian armor that will protect us from the continual assaults from the enemy as we uphold the standards set forth in Your Holy Word. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!
