HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-God's approval is received upon our surrender, not on our
conquests-
2-Humanity cannot save itself-not through the right rituals, not through
right doctrine or through the right devotion-
3-God does not save us because of who we are or what we've done-
4-The list of people in the bible who God used is not all a list of "who's
who in purity and sainthood"-
5-The Bible is filled with stories of God using man's best and overcoming
man's worst-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Behind ever avalanche is a snow flake and behind every rock
slide is a pebble-
I'VE LEARNED-For every minute you are angry you lose 60 seconds of
happiness-
DID YOU KNOW-The total energy in the universe is constant-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What fear do demons have of the name Jesus?
2-Do demons come from hell or is that their destiny?
3-Do demons suffer death?
4-Did Jesus not know what would happen to the pigs when the demons entered
them?
5-Why couldn't or didn't Jesus command the demons back to hell?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who sent spies to see if Saul had followed him?
Yesterday's answer-Twelve, one from each tribe Numbers 13:1-16
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY John 5:24-29
24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears what I
say and believes in the One who sent me has eternal life. That person will not
be judged guilty but has already left death and entered life. 25 I tell you the truth, the time is coming and
is already here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those
who hear will have life.26 Life comes from the Father himself, and he
has allowed the Son to have life in himself as well. 27 And the Father has given the Son the
approval to judge, because he is the Son of Man. 28 Don't be surprised at this: A time is coming
when all who are dead and in their graves will hear his voice. 29 Then they will come out of their graves.
Those who did good will rise and have life forever, but those who did evil will
rise to be judged guilty.
PS-Can
anyone explain verse 25 to me??
PRAYER
FOR TODAY
Father,
You assure us time and again of Your compassionate love through Your Word,
through fellow believers, through extraordinary intervention and whatever other
means You ordain. You respond to our needs faithfully, but we confess that our
doubts begin when Your voice is silent about particular ongoing needs we’re
dealing with. In these instances we begin to wonder, do You really do care. But
we desire to prove our faith to be genuine by trusting You even when we cannot
see Your hand at work. Help us to persevere in prayer as we seek to understand
Your overall plan in these troubling matters. And when we don’t understand Your
plan help us to trust You when our faith is being tested, because faith that
cannot be tested is faith that cannot be trusted.
Amen.
