Tuesday March 16, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-When you have no eternal truths, you have no moral absolutes-
2-How foolish to trade freedom for security-
3-Sin begets it's own consequences-
4-It is impossible to live without restraint and avoid the consequences-
5-Christians are either reservoirs or channels-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why does your nose run and your feet smell?
I'VE LEARNED-Hate is easy, love takes courage-
DID YOU KNOW-Artist Constantino Brumidi fell from the dome of the U.S. Capital while painting a mural around the rim. He died four months later-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why was Pilate deposed of his position by the governor of Syria?
2-Why wouldn't Pilate listen to his wife's counsel?
3-Would Pilate ever have heard that Jesus was resurrected?
4-Why didn't Pilate use his authority to quell the uprising against Jesus?
5-Had Pilate ever heard about Jesus before-his miracles, teaching, etc.?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What was the original name of Israel?
Yesterday's answer-Abram and Sari (Genesis 17:5, 15)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 144:9-15
9 God, I will sing a new song to you; I will play to you on the ten stringed harp.
10 You give victory to kings. You save your servant David from cruel swords.
11 Save me, rescue me from these foreigners. They are liars; they are dishonest.
12 Let our sons in their youth grow like plants. Let our daughters be like the decorated stones in the Temple.
13 Let our barns be filled with crops of all kinds. Let our sheep in the fields have thousands and tens of thousands of lambs.
14 Let our cattle be strong. Let no one break in. Let there be no war, no screams in our streets.
15 Happy are those who are like this; happy are the people whose God is the Lord.
