Monday April 12, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Many things are opened by mistake but none so frequently as the mouth-
2-When the going gets easier, check to make sure you are not going downhill-
3-You can let your own light shine without blowing out the other person's light-
4-We learn from our own mistakes and most of us never lack for study materials-
5-Happiness is living each day as if it were the first day of a marriage and the last day of a vacation-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Education replaces stubborn ignorance with thoughtful uncertainty-
I'VE LEARNED-Open yourself to change but don't lose your values-
DID YOU KNOW-American explorer Richard Byrd once spent five months alone in Antarctica-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How much of a Christians wealth should be left for "God's work" when they die?
2-Should a Christian try to provide financially for all possibilities associated with old age?
3-Why were the disciples surprised at Jesus' words about the difficulty of rich people getting into heaven?
4-Why is the placing of hands on someone associated with giving a blessing?
5-How long did it take for Jesus/Simeon to carry the cross to Golgotha?
BIBLE TRIVIA Whose bible name meant "star"?
Yesterday's answer-Nehemiah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 4:10-12
10 Later, when Jesus was alone, the twelve apostles and others around him asked him about the stories.
11 Jesus said, "You can know the secret about the kingdom of God. But to other people I tell everything by using stories
12 so that: They will look and look, but they will not learn. They will listen and listen, but they will not understand. If they did learn and understand, they would come back to me and be forgiven."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
