Tuesday April 6, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care-
2-People with broken dreams are often broken in spirit too-
3-More is never enough-
4-Life is a journey, not a home-
5-The first duty of love is to listen-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A good education is the next best thing to a pushy mother-
I'VE LEARNED-When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it-
DID YOU KNOW-Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey, not the eagle, to be the U.S. National bird-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Can we always choose not to sin?
2-Is there ever a point when we have no control over our sinning?
3-Did the wise men travel by themselves or in a caravan to find Jesus?
4-How could the wise men have traveled from a faraway place over desert and wilderness for two years in safety?
5-Did the wise men ever make it back home?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Whose name meant "enlightened"?
Yesterday's answer-Aaron
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 3:1-6
1 Another time when Jesus went into a synagogue, a man with a crippled hand was there.
2 Some people watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal the man on the Sabbath day so they could accuse him.
3Jesus said to the man with the crippled hand, "Stand up here in the middle of everyone."
4 Then Jesus asked the people, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath day; to do good or to do evil, to save a life or to kill?"
5 Jesus was angry as he looked at the people, and he felt very sad because they were stubborn. Then he said to the man, "Hold out your hand." the man held out his hand and it was healed.
6 Then the Pharisees left and began making plans with the Herodians about a way to kill Jesus.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
