Thursday April 29, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-A day is never over if it leaves a memory-
2-You are only young once but can be immature forever-
3-A good example can overcome a lot of bad advice-
4-God does not chose a man for what he is but for what he can be-
5-A smile is a curved line that sets things straight-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The severity of the itch is proportional to the reach-
I'VE LEARNED-Friendship is God's way of loving us through someone else-
DID YOU KNOW-Bruce Lee was so fast that his films actually had to be slowed down so audiences could see his moves.
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why isn't Pentecost Sunday more of an important date in most Christian churches today?
2-Why isn't Jesus' ascension to heaven celebrated on the Christian calendar?
3-Was the upper room used by Jesus and his disciples next door to King David's tomb?
4-Did all the disciples wait continually for the 50 days till Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came?
5-How did the disciples live during the 50 days to Pentecost?
BIBLE TRIVIA -What Bible person's name meant "the Lord hides"?
Yesterday's answer-Paul
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 6:53-56
53 When they had crossed the lake, they came to shore at Gennesaret and tied the boat there.
54 When they got out of the boat, people immediately recognized Jesus.
55 They ran everywhere in that area and began to bring sick people on mats wherever they heard he was.
56 And everywhere he went-into towns, cities, or countryside- the people brought the sick to the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch just the edge of his coat, and all who touched it were healed.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
