Tuesday April 27, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Stop looking at what you can see and start looking for what you can have-
2-Faith is only faith when it can go through darkness with a trust and confidence intact-
3-Faith leads a person to the resurrection side of life's situations-
4-Deferred joys purchased by sacrifice are always the sweetest-
5-A little learning is dangerous but none is fatal-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Wisdom doesn't necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself-
I'VE LEARNED--Your character is your destiny-
DID YOU KNOW-Tom Hanks is related to Abraham Lincoln
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Where did Jesus go at his death?
2-If Jesus was in hell/hades during Easter weekend, what did he do there?
3-Would the place from which Jesus ascended to heaven on the Mount of Olives be a sacred place along with his birthplace, crucifixion place and burial place?
4-Could it be that Jesus appeared in resurrection form to people not recorded in scripture?
5-Why was there 40 days from Jesus' resurrection to his ascension?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What bible person's name meant "the Lord remembers"?
Yesterday's answer-Peter
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 6:35-44
35 When it was late in the day, his followers came to him and said, "No one lives in this place, and it is already very late.
36 Send the people away so they can go to the country side and towns around here to buy themselves something to eat."
37 But Jesus answered, "You give them something to eat." They said to him, "We would all have to work a month to earn enough money to buy that much bread!"
38 Jesus asked them, "How many loaves of bread do you have? Go and see." When they found out, they said, "Five loaves and two fish."
39 Then Jesus told his followers to have the people sit in groups on the green grass.
40 So they sat in groups of fifty or a hundred.
41 Jesus took the five loaves and two fish and, looking up to heaven, he thanked God for the food. He divided the bread and gave it to his followers for them to give to the people. Then he divided the two fish among them all.
42 All the people ate and were satisfied.
43 The followers filled twelve baskets with the leftover pieces of bread and fish.
44 There were five thousand men who ate.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
