Sunday April 11, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-For adult education, nothing beats having children-
2-Greener pastures often have higher fences-
3-It is better to get laugh wrinkles than worry warts-
4-Kind hearts are the garden, kind thoughts are the roots, kind words are the flowers, kind deeds are the fruits-
5-Never let yesterday use up today-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Most people don't make the same mistake twice, they make it 3 or 4 times-
I'VE LEARNED--You need to spend some time alone-
DID YOU KNOW-Christopher Columbus had blond hair-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should Christians live debt free except for their home?
2-Should Christians "pledge" money that they don't have to their church or Christian ministries trusting God will provide?
3-Should Christians ever declare bankruptcy except for things beyond their control such as unusual medical expenses or loss of a job, etc.?
4-Should Christians try to leave a financial inheritance to their children or grandchildren?
5-Should Christians always leave a part of their financial estate on death to their place of worship or other ministries they were interested in?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Whose name meant"the Lord has consoled"?
Yesterday's answer-Obadiah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 4:1-9
1 Again Jesus began teaching by the lake. A great crowd gathered around him, so he sat down in a boat near the shore. All the people stayed on the shore close to the water.
2 Jesus taught them many things, using stores. He said,
3 "Listen! A farmer went out to plant his seed.
4 While he was planting, some seed fell by the road, and the birds came and ate it up.
5 Some seed fell on rocky ground where there wasn't much dirt. That seed grew very fast, because the ground was not deep.
6 But when the sun rose, the plants dried up because they did not have deep roots.
7 Some other seed fell among thorny weeds, which grew and choked the good plants. So those plants did not produce a crop.
8 Some other seed fell on good ground and began to grow. It got taller and produced a crop. Some plants made thirty times more, some made sixty times more, and some made a hundred times more."
9 Then Jesus said, "You people who can hear me, listen!"
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
