Tuesday May 4, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-We should live so that there will be no real regrets about what we could have done, if we'd only have had more time-
2-Shadows are proof that the sun is shinning-
3-When you receive God's grace, boasting stops and gratitude starts-
4-When God gives you a promise, you can depend on it-
5-Don't allow fear to mold you into a "Yes but.." Christian-
STRANGE THOUGHT-In order to understand mankind, we must look at the word itself, "mank" and "ind". What do these word mean? Maybe we'll never know!
I'VE LEARNED-This would be a wonderful world if we showed as much patience in all things as we do in waiting for fish to bite-
DID YOU KNOW-Howdy Doody had forty eight freckles. His twin brother was named Double Doody-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did all the disciples heal the sick?
2-Did all the disciples "speak in tongues" after Pentecost?
3-After Jesus ascension, did any of the disciples go back to their means of earning a living?
4-Did Jesus speak more than one language? If so, how many?
5-Did the disciples totally leave their livelihood while following Jesus?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What bible name meant "compassionate"?
Yesterday's answer-Micah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY MARK 7:31-37
31 Then Jesus left the area around Tyre and went through Sidon to Lake Galilee, to the area of the Ten Towns.
32 While he was there, some people brought a man to him who was deaf and could not talk plainly. The people begged Jesus to put his hand on the man to heal him.
33 Jesus led the man away from the crowd, by himself. He put his fingers in the man's ears and then spit and touched the man's tongue.
34 Looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to the man, "Ephphatha!" (This means, "Be opened"
35 Instantly the man was able to hear and to use his tongue so that he spoke clearly.
36 Jesus commanded the people not to tell anyone about what happened. But the more he commanded then, the more they told about it.
37 They were completely amazed and said, "Jesus does everything well. He makes the deaf hear! And those who can't talk he makes able to speak."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
