Friday January 21, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Faith produces hope-
2-Hope begins with knowing that God cares about you and that he has a plan for your life-
3-Faith demonstrates the power and peace available through prayer and communion with God-
4-Prayer is more than words, it often includes the healing touch of caring people of faith-
5-Laughter, happiness and joy are perfect antidotes for stress-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The late worm misses the early bird-
I'VE LEARNED-Know yourself but tell no one what you know-
DID YOU KNOW-The longest one syllable word in the English language is screeched-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is happiness found by seeking it--an end in itself?
2-Happiness is the result of what?
3-Is the "Comforter" as sent by Jesus into the world the same as the Spirit of God in the Old Testament?
4-Is there going to be anyone in hell who was not supposed to be there?
5-Will God be surprised by who doesn't make it to heaven?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king, dressed in royal finery, was hailed as a god but then struck down by the angel of the Lord?
Yesterday's answer-Sargon
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 2 Peter 2:17-22
17 Those false teachers are like springs without water and clouds blown by a storm. A place in the blackest darkness has been kept for them.18 They brag with words that mean nothing. By their evil desires they lead people into the trap of sin—people who are just beginning to escape from others who live in error.19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are not free. They are slaves of things that will be destroyed. For people are slaves of anything that controls them.20 They were made free from the evil in the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But if they return to evil things and those things control them, then it is worse for them than it was before.21 Yes, it would be better for them to have never known the right way than to know it and to turn away from the holy teaching that was given to them. 22 What they did is like this true saying: "A dog goes back to what it has thrown up," and, "After a pig is washed, it goes back and rolls in the mud."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
