Thursday January 13, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Jesus paid a price he didn't owe, I owed a price I couldn't pay-
2-Most of us find in others what we look for-
3-It takes no talent to have a bad attitude-
4-God cannot bless offerings never given or good works never done-
5-Jesus did not command the world to come to church, but did command the church to go into the world-
STRANGE THOUGHT-If you want a happy ending, it will depend on where you stop the story-
I'VE LEARNED-Always put off until tomorrow the things you should not do today-
DID YOU KNOW-The word byte is a contraction of "by eight"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are some of the names we use for God really just nicknames of our feelings for Him?
2-How do you worship God when in a severe difficulty?
3-What is the "Glory of God"?
4-Can you worship God in all circumstances of life?
5-Does God speak in all the extreme expressions of nature?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What much loved and much quoted prophet was active in the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, and, according to tradition, was executed by Manasseh?
Yesterday's answer-Saul
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 Peter 2:8-10

8 Also, he is
"a stone that causes people to stumble,
a rock that makes them fall." — Isaiah 8:14
They stumble because they do not obey what God says, which is what God planned to happen to them.

9 But you are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession. You were chosen to tell about the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.10 At one time you were not a people, but now you are God's people. In the past you had never received mercy, but now you have received God's mercy.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
