Friday March 4, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY-
1-The genius of communication is the ability to be totally honest and totally kind at the same time.
2-True worship culminates with service-
3-We shouldn't give to get but we should give because our hearts are full-
4-A false doctrine is often a good doctrine taken to extreme-
5-If it is true, it isn't new-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
I'VE LEARNED-The homeowner is always going to the hardware store-
DID YOU KNOW-The D in D-day stands for "day." The French term for D-Day is J-Jour.
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What is the "heart" of a person?
2-Do we need to understand the culture of biblical stories to apply them to today's culture?
3-Are the beatitudes really about having the right motives?
4-How do we not worry?
5-Does the word "hope" have a possibility of failure?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What kinsman of Jesus ate locusts, preached repentance, and baptized penitents in the Jordan?
Yesterday's answer-Isaiah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY HEBREWS 4:14-16
Jesus Is Our High Priest
14 Since we have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has gone into heaven, let us hold on to the faith we have. 15 For our high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. 16 Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God's throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.
GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
