Saturday March 5, 2011 thought for the day-from jasper

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The Bible is a plumb line for a balanced life-
2-Don't ever say never-
3-How you listen is more important than what you say-
4-Storms make trees take deeper roots-
5-Example is the primary thing in influencing others-
STRANGE THOUGHT-It is possible to have too much and not enough at the same time-
I'VE LEARNED-An expert knows all the answers, if you ask the right questions-
DID YOU KNOW-The Kentucky Fried Chicken slogan "Finger lickin' good" came out as "Eat you fingers off" in Chinese-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Are hope and faith related?
2-Can you hope for the impossible?
3-Can you hope for a negative thing?
4-Is being a positive person learned or are you born that way?
5-Can a Christian be "spoiled"?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Christian prophesied a famine in the land?
Yesterday's answer-John the Baptist
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY HEBREWS 5:1-6
1 Every high priest is chosen from among other people. He is given the work of going before God for them to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.2 Since he himself is weak, he is able to be gentle with those who do not understand and who are doing wrong things. 3 Because he is weak, the high priest must offer sacrifices for his own sins and also for the sins of the people.

4 To be a high priest is an honor, but no one chooses himself for this work. He must be called by God as Aaron was. 5 So also Christ did not choose himself to have the honor of being a high priest, but God chose him. God said to him,
"You are my Son.
Today I have become your Father." — Psalm 2:7

6 And in another Scripture God says,
"You are a priest forever,
a priest like Melchizedek." — Psalm 110:4

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
