Sunday March 6, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The person we are is always more important than the work we do-
2-Even when you are doing things God's way, there still may be tests-
3-A loving heart is always young-
4-If I try to be like someone else, who will be like me-
5-Children always carry with them a part of their parents souls-
STRANGE THOUGHT-My opinions may have changed but not the fact that I am right-
I'VE LEARNED-The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves-
DID YOU KNOW-The three best known western names in China are Jesus Christ, Richard Nixon, and Elvis Presley-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Does God show "tough love"?
2-What is a "personal relationship with God?"
3-Do you have to develop your own relationship with God or is it God's responsibility to develop one with you?
4-How do you make prayer a priority?
5-Can there be peace while there is sin in the world?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What New Testament person prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem?
Yesterday's answer-Agabus
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY HEBREWS 5:7-10
7 While Jesus lived on earth, he prayed to God and asked God for help. He prayed with loud cries and tears to the One who could save him from death, and his prayer was heard because he trusted God. 8 Even though Jesus was the Son of God, he learned obedience by what he suffered.9 And because his obedience was perfect, he was able to give eternal salvation to all who obey him.10 In this way God made Jesus a high priest, a priest like Melchizedek.
