Saturday July 2, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Salvation is a gift from God you receive not a goal to achieve-
2-God's forgiveness is like a mother's kiss-
3-Even when nothing makes sense, God still wants you to trust him-
4-You express anger when you think you can get away with it-
5-We need to do more than feel guilty, we need to change-
STRANGE THOUGHT-I am not a vegetarian because I love animals, I am a vegetarian because I hate plants-
I'VE LEARNED-There is just as much horse sense as ever, but it seems to me the horses have it-
DID YOU KNOW-When honey is swallowed, it enters the blood stream within a period of twenty minutes-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How can the non Christian know that God gives what he promises?
2-Did God know that Adam and Eve would eat of the forbidden fruit for scripture says "when you eat of it you will surely die"?
3-Can a believer in Jesus, who has a different doctrine than you be a Christian?
4-How do you "practice the presence of God"?
5-What is the most important thing you can do with your time?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What woman of dubious character his Israelite spies under piles of flax?
Yesterday's answer-Zipporah, Moses' wife Exodus 2.21
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Ephesians 4:29-32
29 When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need—words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you.30 And do not make the Holy Spirit sad. The Spirit is God's proof that you belong to him. God gave you the Spirit to show that God will make you free when the final day comes.31 Do not be bitter or angry or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others. Never do anything evil.32 Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Blessed are you, Lord God of my salvation, to you be praise and glory for ever. As once you ransomed your people from Egypt and led them to freedom in the promised land, so now you have delivered me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of your risen Son. May I, the fruit of your new creation, rejoice in this new day you have made, and praise you for your mighty acts. Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

WISHING YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
