Friday November 4, 2011 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-One of our deepest needs is to have a friend-
2-Jesus knew me yet he loved me-
3-We rationalize what we do to maintain our sanity-
4-Your walk speaks louder than your talk-
5-There is no room for Jesus in a proud heart-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil, it has no point-
I'VE LEARNED-Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking your potential-
DID YOU KNOW-In 1946, the first TV toy commercial aired, it was for Mr. Potato Head.
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Jesus' family ever celebrate his birthday?
2-How would Jesus have spent his final days at home before starting his ministry?
3-Would Mary ever have had further angelic visitations about Jesus after the initial visit?
4-Since Jesus knew what was going to happen with his life, did he ever think ahead about it with fear?
5-Would Jesus ever have experienced pain anytime before Holy Week?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who had surgery on him while he slept?
Yesterday's answer-Rabbi John 1:38
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 Corinthians 10:14-17
14 So, my dear friends, run away from the worship of idols. 15 I am speaking to you as to reasonable people; judge for yourselves what I say. 16 We give thanks for the cup of blessing, which is a sharing in the blood of Christ. And the bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.17 Because there is one loaf of bread, we who are many are one body, because we all share that one loaf.
PRAYER FOR TODAY

Praying manFather, we confess with our lips and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins, rose again on the third day and is now seated at Your right hand in heaven. To acknowledge this truth comes so naturally with great enthusiasm, boldness, and conviction when other believers are standing nearby lifting their praises in agreement right alongside us in a church service or a gathering where there is freedom of worship. But the real test of our faith is when we publicly acknowledge these Biblical truths among those who don’t agree bringing about ridicule or persecution. No matter the setting and no matter the testing, by Your grace, may we be numbered in the faithful remnant of Your devoted followers. And we pray for those who are presently undergoing persecution. May You uphold them by Your strong hand and deliver them from their oppressing persecutors, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING!!!
