HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY

1-We need to show the optimism of God's grace-

2-God can take your mess and give you a message-

3-Whatever you need to do, do it, for you only have so many tomorrows-

4-Jesus brought us out of hurt into healing, fear into freedom, sin into salvation, bondage into blessing-

5-Everybody is somebody to Jesus-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Give God what is right not what is left-

I'VE LEARNED-Clear your mind of "I can't"-

DID YOU KNOW-It is illegal to grow or sell pork in Israel-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-What evidence is there when someone is sanctified?

2-Is being sanctified the same as being filled with the Holy Spirit?

3-What evidence is there when a person is filled with the spirit of God?

4-Why do so many people feel that life owes them something?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 1 Corinthians 5:1-5

¹ We know that our body—the tent we live in here on earth—will be destroyed. But when that happens, God will have a house for us. It will not be a house made by human hands; instead, it will be a home in heaven that will last forever.² But now we groan in this tent. We want God to give us our heavenly home,³ because it will clothe us so we will not be naked.⁴ While we live in this body, we have burdens, and we groan. We do not want to be naked, but we want to be clothed with our heavenly home. Then this body that dies will be fully covered with life.⁵ This is what God made us for, and he has given us the Spirit to be a guarantee for this new life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, we’re reminded by the cynical attitude of Solomon in his latter years, that it is essential for us to stay on the straight and narrow path laid out for us. We have no way of knowing when we yield to temptation just how far sin will take us, how long it will hold us, nor the damage it will do. So we must be wise and resist sin so that we find blessing instead of shame, victory instead of failure, and life instead of death. Help us to never weary of following You. All the days of our life we want to remember You, our Creator. Amen.
