Sunday January 8, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-To know is to be able to act-
2-Discipline a little, appreciate a lot-
3-Treat the other as if you were the other-
4-No one can go beyond the grace of God-
5-Children will do more of what their parents do than what they say-
STRANGE THOUGHT-You cannot renew your mind by pumping in garbage-
I'VE LEARNED-I must become the change I wish to see-
DID YOU KNOW-Mailing an entire building has been illegal in the United States since 1916, when a man mailed a 40,000 ton brick house across Utah to avoid high freight rates-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did the Magi take the gospel back to their native lands?
2-How long did the Magi stay in the area where the Christ child was before leaving to return home-
3-Would the Magi have been dark skinned people?
4-What is the significance of the Magi visit?
5-What happened to the gifts the Magi brought with them?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What wife, seeing her husband on the verge of death, circumcised their son?
Yesterday's answer-Bathsheba 2 Samuel 11:2
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 2 Corinthians 6:3-7
3 We do not want anyone to find fault with our work, so nothing we do will be a problem for anyone.4 But in every way we show we are servants of God: in accepting many hard things, in troubles, in difficulties, and in great problems.5 We are beaten and thrown into prison. We meet those who become upset with us and start riots. We work hard, and sometimes we get no sleep or food.6 We show we are servants of God by our pure lives, our understanding, patience, and kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by true love,7 by speaking the truth, and by God's power. We use our right living to defend ourselves against everything.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Jesus, in Your human birth, You became the very character and expression of God in human form. Miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit You came as light to the world dispelling the darkness that would otherwise overwhelm us. When we walk with You we no longer walk in darkness but have the light of life. May Your light be reflected through our lives to the darkened world around us. The miracle of Your birth and the wonder of Your life refresh our spirit and renew our resolve to follow You wholeheartedly. It is in Your name that we pray. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
