Wednesday February 6, 2008 thought for the day

LOOK CAREFULLY AT THIS PICTURE-AT FIRST IT LOOKS LIKE A BEAR ON IT'S SIDE BUT IT ACTUALLY IS A MAN SLIDING IN THE SAND AFTER A BROAD JUMP-IT IS A TERRIFIC ACTION SHOT!-
Here are my thoughts for today-
1-Nobody can do everything-
2-The church was never intended to be a "country club" for christians-
3-The church should be God's new society-
4-It is only when laws demand we deny our faith or compromise our christian standards that we should
refuse to obey them for the sake of Jesus-
5-If there is no hell, Jesus death was a tragic sacrifice-

Strange thought-everyone wants to have truth on their side but few want to be on the side of truth-

I've learned-a daily 30 minute walk is the easiest and most beneficial thing you can do for your health-

5 things I want to know
1-Is what the bible calls our "heart" really our mind?
2-Is there really power in the name of Jesus?
3-Does it matter what name we use in our prayers-Jesus-God-Father-Savior-Lord-etc?
4-Do we live like "I'd rather have Jesus..."
5-Why don't we as Christians take a proactive stand against social sins?

Today's Scripture
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” (II Corinthians 4:7 NKJ).

I wish you a day filled with love, laughter, forgiveness and thanksgiving-jasper
