Monday August 2, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty-
2-If you love just to get love, you become sick-
3-Do not pray for an easy life, pray to be a strong person-
4-The only way to heal a pain that will not heal itself is to forgive the person who caused it-
5-Faith is not an argument-
STRANGE THOUGHT-A rumor without a leg to stand on will find another way to get around-
I'VE LEARNED-Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments-
DID YOU KNOW-The only person to decline a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction was Sinclair Lewis for his book Arrowsmith
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How old was Eve when she died?
2-Is it possible that Eve could have birthed hundreds of children in her lifetime?
3-Why is there a lot of history about the beginnings of the human race that has gone unrecorded in the Biblical text?
4-Could God have created any other humans beside Adam and Eve outside the Garden of Eden to provide someone for their children to have families with?
5-At the great flood, why did God destroy all the animals except a pair of each kind?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Though her profession was condemned by an official decree of King Saul, the king disguised himself in order to get help from her. Who was she?

SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 2:15-21
15 When the angels left them and went back to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, "Let's go to Bethlehem. Let's see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told us about."
16 So the shepherds went quickly and found Mary and Joseph and the baby, who was lying in a feeding box.
17 When they had seen him, they told what the angels has said about this child.
18 Everyone was amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
19 But Mary treasured these things and continued to think about them.
20 Then the shepherds went back to their sheep, praising God and thanking him for everything they had seen and heard. It had been just as the angel had told them.
21 When the baby was eight days old, he was circumcised and was named Jesus, the name given by the angel before the baby began to grow inside Mary.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
