Wednesday August 11, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-It is wrong to be obnoxiously right-
2-It is not great faith we need but a faith in a great God-
3-Our efficiency without God's sufficiency is only deficiency-
4-No one is unpromising to God-
5-A man is known by the company he does not keep-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Old age is like a rocket launching, at a certain stage, you count down-
I'VE LEARNED-People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be-
DID YOU KNOW-Dr. Seuss coined the word "nerd" in his 1950 book If I Ran the Zoo-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did God have to kill an animal/animals to make the coverings for Adam and Eve or did he just create it?
2-Were Adam and Eve ever forgiven by God for their sin of disobedience?
3-Did Adam and Eve ever repent of their disobedience?
4-How did Cain kill Abel?
5-If God did not accept Cain's offering, why did he take his anger out on Abel instead of on God?
BIBLE TRIVIA- What Old Testament woman had children named Lo-ruhamah, Lo-ammi, and Jezreel?
Yesterday's answer-Adah
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 3:21-22
21 When all the people were being baptized by John, Jesus also was baptized. While Jesus was praying, heaven opened
22 and the Holy Spirit came down on him in the form of a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, saying, "You are my Son, whom I love and I am very pleased with you."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
