Monday August 9, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it-
2-Nothing will improve your hearing more than others praise-
3-I never learn anything talking, only when listening-
4-Patience is accepting a difficult situation from God without giving him a deadline to remove it-
5-There are two essentials for happiness, something to do and someone to love-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Never try to make crepes from crepe paper-
I'VE LEARNED-Everyone you meet knows something you don't know. Learn from them-
DID YOU KNOW-Ernest Vincent Wright wrote the fifty thousand word novel Gatsby without any word containing the letter "e"-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-How did Cain and Abel know they were to make an offering to God-
2-Did Adam and Eve make offerings to God?
3-Was Cain perhaps angry with Abel prior to their offering to God?
4-Were Cain and Abel perhaps brothers that did not get along?
5-Does God not accept an offering from you of what you have produced?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who offered a bottle of milk to an enemy soldier and then killed him?
Yesterday's answer-Michal
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 3:7-15
7 To the crowds of people who came to be baptized by John, he said "You are all snakes! Who warned you to run away from God's coming punishment?
8 Do the things that show you really have changed your hearts and lives. Don't begin to say to yourselves, 'Abraham is our father.' I tell you that God could make children for Abraham from these rocks.
9 The ax is now ready to cut down the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."
10 The people asked John, "Then what should we do?"
11 John answered, "If you have two shirts, share with the person who does not have one. If you have food, share that also."
12 Even tax collectors came to John to be baptized. They said to him, "Teacher, what should we do?"
13 John said to them, "Don't take more taxes from people than you have been ordered to take."
14 The soldiers asked John , "What about us? What should we do?" John said to them, "Don't force people to give you money, and don't lie about them. Be satisfied with the pay you get."
15 Since the people were hoping for the Christ to come, they wondered if John might be the one.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
