Sunday August 29, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The closer we live to God, the easier it is for us to recognize his voice when he speaks to us-
2-It isn't how I try to obey God, but how I trust and obey-
3-Circumstances always have a beginning and an end-
4-Don't run and hide when love draws near-
5-When I am afraid--I will trust God-
STRANGE THOUGHTS-There are really no great persons, only persons who do great things-
I'VE LEARNED-God never leads us into a pessimistic attitude-
DID YOU KNOW-According to Genesis 1:20-22, the chicken came before the egg-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why is Jephthah listed among the heroes of faith in the book of Hebrews?
2-Why did King Solomon use such vast quantities of gold building his temple?
3-Was King Solomon trying to build a temple for God to equal those of the surrounding nations or to make it remarkably better?
4-Where was all the gold mined that was used in the building of the temple?
5-Is it possible that the Holy of Holies of the first Jewish temple lies under the Dome of the Rock?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What woman if Athens became a Christian because of Paul's teaching?
Yesterday's answer-Cozbi
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 6:43-45
Two Kinds of Fruit
43 "A good tree does not produce bad fruit, nor does a bad tree produce good fruit.
44 Each tree is known by its own fruit. People don't gather figs from thornbushes, and they don't get grapes from bushes.
45 Good people bring good things out of the good they stored in their hearts. But evil people bring evil things out of the evil they stored in their hearts. People speak the things that are in their hearts.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
