Sunday August 1, 2010 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The arrogance of the young is a direct result of not having enough consequences-
2-If you want your children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders-
3-That which you cannot give away you do not possess, for it possesses you-
4-If you don't want to cry, don't ever love-
5-I have lived many years. I have had many troubles, most of which never happened-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Always beat the wall harder than the drummer next door-
I'VE LEARNED-Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation leans on the door-
DID YOU KNOW-During the eighteen century, books that were considered offensive were sometimes "punished" by being whipped-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Were daughters born only later in life to Adam and Eve?
2-Where did Cain get his wife?
3-Why are their no mention of the names of any of Adam and Eve's daughters?
4-Why are not all of Adam and Eve's children mentioned by name in Genesis?
5-Is it possible that Adam and Eve could have had many daughters prior to Seth's birth since Adam was 130 at the time?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What loving woman, a concubine of Saul, watched over the corpses of her slaughtered children, protecting them from birds and animals?
Yesterday's answer-Rahab
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY LUKE 2:8-14
8 That night, some shepherds were in the fields nearby watching their sheep.
9 Then an angel of the Lord stood before them. The glory of the Lord was shining around them, and they became very frightened.
10 The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I am bringing you good news that will be a great joy to all the people.
11 Today your Savior was born in the town of David. He is Christ, the Lord.
12 This is how you will know him: You will find a baby wrapped in pieces of cloth and lying in a feeding box."
13 Then a very large group of angels from heaven joined the first angel, praising God and saying:
14 "Give glory to God in heaven, and on earth let there be peace among the people who please God."
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
